Blaise Dubois
BSc PT, RCAMT, Sport Physiotherapy Diploma, Consultant for Athletics Canada
Blaise Dubois graduated from the Université Laval physiotherapy program in 1998, where he was awarded the prize for excellence in the musculoskeletal field. He immediately specialized and received from the Canadian Association a diploma in sports physiotherapy and a resident title from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. In 2010, Blaise Dubois begins a master's degree in experimental medicine and the publication of a Cochrane review on "Physical interventions for preventing stress fractures and stress reactions of bone of the lower limbs in young adults" (in progress). Now considered as a reference in preventing running injuries, Blaise Dubois has become an international leader in this field. Speaker, passionate athlete and co-owner of the “PCN physiothérapie et médecine du sport” sports physiotherapy clinics, Blaise considers himself primarily a specialized therapist working specifically in the prevention and treatment of running injuries. He also acts as a consultant for the Canadian national track and field team, with which he has already participated in many international events, including numerous world championships.

Jean-françois Esculier
B.Sc. PT
Jean-François Esculier graduated from the University of Ottawa physiotherapy program. Passionate about sports and orthopaedics physiotherapy, he quickly improves his skills in those fields by taking several specialized courses and by working on the field with competitive sport teams and in many events. Being a great sports adept since his early years, Jean-François’ experience guides him through his interventions, which combine efficiently the active therapy approach by exercises prescription and manual therapy. Furthermore, his frequent scientific literature reviews give him the opportunity to gather new findings and incorporate them to enhance his practice, always maximizing his interventions’ efficacy. Presenting a real interest in running injuries, he decides to get involved in clinical research and works in the prevention and treatment of injuries in several popular running events in the greater Quebec city region. This combination gives him the abilities to help recreational runners as well as elite athletes.

Alejandro Alvarez
Sport physio diploma, muscular chains specialist.
Alejandro Alvarez Navarro obtiene su diploma de fisioterapia en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona en el año 2002. Apasionado por la práctica deportiva desde muy pequeño y teniendo un gran deseo de poner en práctica sus conocimientos de fisioterapia deportiva-salud y traumática, se perfecciona rápidamente en estos campos siguiendo diversas formaciones. Se gradúa en fisioterapia del deporte en 2004. Su temperamento perfeccionista le hace viajar por Asia y Europa para mejorar sus conocimientos y completar sus formaciones. A pesar de ello, tiene la impresión que le falta algo más preciso en su práctica. Por esta razón él se lanza en el estudio de las cadenas musculares con el fin de dominar el cuerpo humano desde un punto de vista biomecánico y al mismo tiempo observar el comportamiento del individuo para analizar el origen de sus lesiones. Todos estos aspectos hacen de Alejandro un terapeuta muy competente con una técnica y una precisión impresionantes.

Mark Cucuzzella
MD, FAAFP
Mark is a Family Physician and Associate Professor at West Virginia University School of Medicine. A month shy of his 40th birthday, he won the 2006 Air Force Marathon in a time of 2:31. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves, he serves as the Chief Medical Consultant for the Air Force Marathon and is designing programs to reduce running injuries in military personnel. His passion for health extends beyond the walls of the clinic into the medical home’s “backyard”- the trails and open space that create the arena for optimum wellness.

Daniel Crumback
BSc.PT, Dip Sport PT, CSEP-CEP, CAFCI, CSCS, Sport Performance Specialist
Daniel Crumback graduated from the University of British Columbia physiotherapy program in 1994. Daniel is a Sport Physiotherapist (Diploma), a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP), Certified in Acupuncture (AFCI) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). Daniel has completed 24 years in Canadian Forces, including a tour in Afghanistan and two years in the Canadian Special Operations Regiment. Daniel is also the Training and Development Coordinator for the CF Athletic Trainers Program. Daniel recently returned from the World Military Games in Rio de Janeiro in July 2011.

Jay Dicharry
MPT, CSCS
ay Dicharry, MPT, CSCS, is the Director of the SPEED Performance Clinic and the Motion Analysis Lab Coordinator at the University of Virginia. Originally from New Orleans, LA, Jay received his BS from the University of Southern Mississippi in Exercise Physiology and a Masters of Physical Therapy degree at Louisiana State University Medical Center. He is widely published in the field of gait research and is Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a certified coach through both the United States Track and Field Association and the United States Cycling Federation, and a certified Golf Fitness Instructor through Titleist Performance Institute. His ability to combine quantatative information derived from the lab with clinical assessment has made him a resource for athletes from weekend warriors to world's elite.

Guy Thibault
Ph.D.
Docteur en physiologie de l’exercice et spécialiste des sports d’endurance comme le vélo, la course à pied, le ski de fond et le triathlon, Guy Thibault est chercheur à la Direction du sport et de l’activité physique du ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport. Rédacteur des avis du Comité scientifique de Kino-Québec, il a publié plusieurs livres dont le récent best-seller Entraînement cardio – Sports d’endurance et performance (Vélo Québec Éditions). Il est aussi professeur associé au Département de kinésiologie de l’Université de Montréal. Il a publié plus de 30 articles dans des revues scientifiques avec révision par des pairs et plus de 600 articles de vulgarisation scientifique concernant les activités physiques et sportives, dans des revues québécoises et étrangères. Avec des collègues de la France, il a fondé le site www.savoir-sport.org pour diffuser de l’information scientifique en entraînement sportif.
